  3. Switch off lights: Switch off all sources of lights as they disturb the baby getting sleep. Use dim light during pre–bed routine activities to decrease baby’s contact to light.Keep the room dark throughout the night as artificial light can slow the baby’s production of melatonin that is the hormone responsible for executing the sleep-wake
  4. Feed it again before going to night sleep: Try to feed it finally going to sleep for the whole night as it will be difficult to feed it by waking it up at midnight and getting it back to sleep again.
C) Keep it asleep:
  1. Keep an empty crib: Keep the crib empty as the items inside will distract baby’s sleep and will expose thedanger of suffocation.
  2. Swaddleit:Swaddle the baby if it does not sleep normally. Wrap it carefully with ablanket to stop the limbs from jerking that may wake it KeepItwarm and safe so that it feels that it is still in the mother’s womb condition. Do not swaddle over two months old baby as they attempt to roll over.
  3. No tiptoes: Walk around normally. Let her listen to the sounds as it used to hear inside from the mother’s womb and not make it a sensitive sleeper.
  4. Use oils with gentle scent: Use sweet smell scent oils like lavender and chamomilefor babies older than six months.
  5. No allergen sources: it is utterly significant that the baby’s room and theentire house is clean, safe dry and dust free as they disrupt sleep.
D) Coping with midnight wakes up:
  1. Be quiet: If the baby wakes up at midnight, avoid eye contact, talking or singing and touch gently on its tummy, head, face and speak in a very soft voice. The main reason waking up at midnight may be the hunger as they get hungry on every one to three hours and a newborn should not go hungry more than four hours.
  2. Keep lights off: Do not turn on the light while you are trying to sleep it back in the midnight.
  3. Avoid changing diaper if it is not too much wet
  4. Use pacifier: It not only soothes the baby but also helps the baby to go back to sleep and also prevent SIDS.
